About My Practice

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), which means I can diagnose and treat psychiatric problems using talk therapy. I have worked in a variety of settings, from inpatient psychiatric units to home based services, in emergency rooms and office-based counseling.

I use cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based therapy tools, as well as strategies drawn from neurolinguistic programming.  My approach is designed to be short-term and focused on problems you are struggling with today.

A large part of successful therapy is a good fit between therapist and client. I offer an initial brief (15 - 20 minute) meeting at no charge so you can find out if you feel comfortable with me, and I can get a sense if I am the right person to help with your problems.

I see individuals for therapy, and incorporate family support in session when appropriate. Sessions are 45-55 minutes and are scheduled at a time convenient for all involved.

While I look forward to a time we can meet in person again, since March 2020 I am using telehealth to provide services.  I have been using Simple Practice for years, and it lives up to it's name.  I will walk you through getting set up for this secure platform.
